Award-winning restaurant Katherine’s Steakhouse in CasaBlanca Resort & Casino and the popular Race and Sports Book and gaming floor in Virgin River Hotel & Casino will undergo extensive renovations this year according to Mesquite Gaming, the parent company of the properties.
“These exciting projects further illustrate our commitment to upgrade the quality of these two destination properties for our guests and employees,” said Justin Moore, CEO of Mesquite Gaming.
Katherine’s Steakhouse in CasaBlanca Resort & Casino, recently voted the Gold Award as Best Restaurant by the readers of Nevada’s largest newspaper, will undergo remodeling to create a beautiful new lounge and expanded bar area. New menu offerings will add to the already celebrated food and beverage favorites on the current menu. “Much thought has been given to how we will retain the most popular features that both locations currently offer, while presenting even more enjoyable experiences,” added Moore.
The new Race & Sports Book at the Virgin River Hotel & Casino will feature a state-of-the-art gathering place for enjoying and wagering on horse racing & sporting events in Mesquite. The expansion will include several new 85” sized monitors along with a huge 53’ wide x 10’ high video wall. It will also include 90 additional slot machines for the gaming floor. “Guests will be amazed when they see it completed,” said Moore.
These improvements are in addition to the recently announced $6 million renovations at CasaBlanca Resort which include a new Center Bar, sports bar, and 200 more slots on the gaming floor. ECL Development, a national firm with extensive gaming industry experience, is handling the project management. Harris Associates, an accomplished Las Vegas gaming and hospitality construction company, will serve as the General Contracting firm. Steelman Partners, an international architecture and interior design firm, is responsible for the designs at CasaBlanca Resort. JIVE, a premier casino architecture firm in Las Vegas, is creating the designs at the Virgin River property.
